Why do yoga?
To improve flexibility, range of motion, strength and posture, to reduce the risk of injury, develop focus, combat stress, improve breathing, cultivate a sense of calm and aid relaxation in a busy world. It doesn’t matter why you come to yoga, we all get something different out of our practice. Just come along a try a class in a small and friendly environment.

About me.
Hello, I’m Sue Russell and I started practising yoga regularly at my office in London when a teacher started to visit twice weekly as part of a staff wellness programme. I didn’t know I needed yoga – yoga just found me! I have always been passionate about exercise but practising yoga gave me a feeling of calm that no other activity did. When I moved “up north” I decided to complete my teacher training with Yoga London as I could not find many classes locally and thought this would help me develop my own practice but I have discovered I love teaching. I believe yoga should be fun and accessible. We all come to yoga with our lifestyle choices imprinted on our bodies: maybe we play sport or have past injuries or we spend long hours at a desk or driving (or simply in couch potato pose!). Yoga can help balance our bodies and our minds. We are all human, it’s ok to wobble, lose balance (and sometimes fall!) but it’s OK to laugh too.
